Hi Sharon

Welcome to the forum. My name is Anne and I was diagnosed in May this year and still coming to terms with it. I can honestly say that as soon as I found this site I didn't feel so worried and feel so alone anymore.

Its a horrible disease and so painful, I really hope your meds kick in soon.

Anne x

Hi Sharon, so sorry that you have the beastly R.A.
My name is Fiona and I was diagnosed at 38. I am 53 now.
I can definately empathise with your tiredness and the nodding off at
weird times as this was very much how I was and occasionally still am at
the beginning of my R.A experience.
I began suffering from dry eyes a few months before the R.A. Sometimes a dry
mouth goes with this. Sjogrens is the name of this syndrome and it does occur in some people
with R.A. So it might be something to get checked out.
It is great that you are posting on here and I shall look out for more from you.
With best wishes,
FionaSmile

Hello Sharon and welcome.

It is hard coming to terms with it all, especially when there is so much information available on the internet. From what I understand you were diagnosed quickly so thats such a big plus factor for you.

There is so much to take in at first but you have found the right place here to ask questions about things, someone will know the answer and we all understand how you are feeling. There is people on here who have had RA for a long time and they are very knowledgeable of the disease, probably more so than some consultants and they will always give you good honest advice.

Keep posting.

Love Paula x
